Sunway Property partners with PSFKL to host photography contest

PETALING JAYA (April 13): Sunway Property has collaborated with Persatuan Fotografi Selangor dan KL (PFSKL) to host a wellness-themed photography contest at Sunway Serene, Petaling Jaya. 

The contest which aims to showcase Sunway Serene’s facilities that promotes self-care and wellness to its communities runs until May 25, 2022 with up to RM10,000 worth of prizes.

“We hope that the photography competition helps to bring to light the importance of creating unique meditative moments every day amidst nature to promote self-care and wellness among our community,” said Sunway Property chief brand marketing officer Gerard Yuen. 

“The lakeside development of Sunway Serene is built on the theme of wellness and nature, inspiring our community to include both of these in their daily routine. The photography competition intends to remind everyone that these are important aspects of our lives even as we move into the endemic phase,” Yuen added. 

Meanwhile, PFSKL president Ng Wei Lee said that the photography competition also intends on capturing wellness as an important aspect of life. 

“Photography is a way to showcase things in a different perspective and allows people to share their ideas and inspiration with others. Photographs document moments of fun, happiness and love, and now, we are using it to document another important aspect of life - wellness,” said Ng.

The park at Sunway Serene was previously a derelict water retention pond. It was restored and beautified as part of Sunway Property’s urban renewal project with an investment of RM10 million. 

Once beautified, the park is equipped with facilities that promote the theme of wellness for the betterment of its community’s lifestyle. Among the facilities are a 1.2km jogging path, cycling track, lush greenery and a 15-acre lake. 

Additionally, Sunway Property has also installed rubbish traps to improve the lake’s hydraulic flow, adding aquatic plants to improve the ecosystem and transplanting trees.
