The ministry emphasised that project execution will be strictly monitored to ensure compliance with safety, cost, and timeline requirements.
The MYJALAN initiative serves as a platform for the public to report road damages and maintenance issues. Through the MYJALAN application, users can lodge complaints related to road conditions, facilitating prompt action and improving road safety nationwide.
Malaysia’s federal government in Budget 2025 allocated RM2.8 billion for the upkeep of federal roads to enhance safety and reduce accidents caused by poor road conditions.
On top of that, RM1.6 billion was set aside for upgrading federal roads in 2025, with RM450 million specifically designated to small and medium Bumiputera contractors classified under G1 to G4.
It also allocated RM5.5 billion through the Malaysian Road Record Information System for the maintenance of state roads, including repairs of damaged drainage systems, slopes, and bridges affected by disasters. To improve rural infrastructure, RM1.8 billion is allocated for the construction and upgrading of village connection roads, aiming to bridge the urban-rural development gap.
