The decision was made by High Court Justice Datuk Azimah Omar in chambers today, where it was related to lawyers representing FGV and the five directors.
This followed a request from the prosecution, led by former Federal Court judge Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, for Justice Zaini's court to vacate the Nov 18-29 dates and possibly the January dates in order to finish the 1MDB-Tanore trial that also involves Najib, which is deemed as a priority.
The Pekan MP has to appear alongside Arul Kanda Kandasamy – 1MDB chief executive officer (CEO) from 2015 to 2018 – before High Court judge Justice Mohamad Zaini Mazlan as they are jointly charged with audit tampering of the 1MDB accounts.
The suit by YHA Travel and Tours (M) Sdn Bhd was filed at the Sessions Court here on Saturday (Nov 2), through Messrs Fong Yap & Gan.
"We submit the accused is using his MC as abuse to obtain adjournment and prolong the trial. There must be sanction on this utter contempt for court proceedings," Datuk Gopal Sri Ram told the court.
The prosecution may impose tougher bail conditions on Najib.

MACC chief commissioner Latheefa Koya said they had initially asked to be exempted from having to pay back the funds they allegedly received.
Justice Sequerah's decision stems from the fact that he is also presiding in Najib's 1Malaysia Development Bhd-Tanore trial.
