KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 4): The Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 1Malaysia Development Trial enters its 29th day with questions being asked on the former premier's eye ailment.

This follows his appearance at the Tanjung Piai nomination and by-election campaign over the weekend.

As a result, the prosecution may impose tougher bail conditions on Najib.

Meanwhile, former 1MDB chief executive officer Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi would continue with being cross-examined by Najib's lead defence counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah about the first phase of the transactions, namely the PetroSaudi International Ltd deal.

The senior lawyer may also proceed into the second phase, namely with regards to the International Petroleum International Corporation stage should the cross-examination proceed quickly enough.
