In a statement issued today, Thomas wrote that calling an emergency would have grave consequences, especially on the country’s economy. He pointed out that the rating agencies will immediately downgrade the country’s sovereign ratings. The new trial dates are in 2021. Justice Jamil had today fixed May 7, 21, 28, June 4 and 11, July 1-2, 22-23 and Aug 6 as trial dates for the case.
