Ion Delemen Hotel

PETALING JAYA (April 28): The Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel in Genting Highlands, Pahang was officially opened on April 26.

The hotel is part of the Ion Delemen development by boutique developer NCT Group of Companies.

The hotel is owned by Ion Delemen Hospitality Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the NCT Group while Best Western International is the operator of the 246-room hotel.

NCT Group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy said Ion Delemen is located 6,000ft above sea level and is spread across 10.2 acres of pristine greenery. The concept for the luxury development was conceived in 2011 and the entire Ion Delemen development is expected to be completed by 2018.

“Guests will enjoy mountain views that are bound to take their breath away and fresh, cool air that should add a spring to their step,” Yap said in a press statement today following the official launch of the hotel.

The Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel offers 1, 2 and 3-bedroom suites.

Hotel facilities include an indoor gym and sauna, a heated infinity pool, wellness spa, adventure course with a flying fox line, children’s playground at the sky garden as well as several restaurants that cater to international as well as local tastes.

Yap noted that the hotel is located just 2.5km away from Genting Highlands and guests will be able to travel there via the shuttle service provided by the hotel.

Future plans for the Ion Delemen include a 22,000 sq ft wellness centre operated by JK Medical Group, which is scheduled to be completed this year.

“The resort’s apartment-styled rooms, with options that include deluxe rooms and 1-bedroom suites designed for couples as well as 2 and 3-bedroom suites catering to families or larger groups. In fact, our guests will be delighted to discover that our suites come with a separate living area and kitchenette,” said Best Western Premier Ion Delemen Hotel general manager Datuk Franz Swoboda.

Pemangku Raja Pahang Tengku Mahkota Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, who officiated the launch of the hotel, anticipated that the arrival of the world’s largest hotel chain to Genting Highlands augers well for the local tourism industry.

“With the upcoming opening of 20th Century Fox World and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Centre, the future looks bright for Genting Highlands and the state of Pahang, just as we are celebrating Visit Pahang 2017,” he said.
