KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 15): Sime Darby Property (KL:SIMEPROP) will launch its latest condominium development named Kanopi Residences in its 6.5-acre City of Elmina township in Shah Alam on Nov 23.

According to a press statement on Friday, the project, which has a gross development value of RM299 million, offers 449 units spread across a 36-storey tower. Each unit will have a built-up of 1,000 sq ft with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a minimum of two car parks.

Sime Darby Property chief operating officer of township development Appollo Leong said, “The main feature of Kanopi Residences is its strategic location at the heart of the City of Elmina, setting it apart as a key development. Following the recent launch of Elmina Lakeside Mall, the city’s growth is just beginning.”

The development has over 35 wellness-themed facilities, including sky gardens, a swimming pool and dedicated fitness areas. Residents can also access the 300-acre Elmina Central Park, which features theme parks and recreational spaces.

In addition, Kanopi Residences has been awarded a GreenRE Silver certification for incorporating energy-efficient designs, rainwater harvesting systems and eco-friendly materials. “This environmentally responsible approach aligns with Sime Darby Property’s broader commitment to creating sustainable communities,” Leong said.

Amenities near the project include the Elmina Lakeside Mall, SJK(C) Regent Elmina (opening 2026), Sekolah Menengah Akademik Chong Hwa (opening 2027), SK Denai Alam (opening 2026) and SMK Denai Alam (opening 2028).

Kanopi Residences is accessible via the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway and Guthrie Corridor Expressway.

Meanwhile, the statement also revealed that the developer is set to introduce a few more additions to the township including park extensions, sports facilities and art installations.
