PENANG (Jan 9): Property developer S P Setia kicked off its first Setia’s Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 celebration in Penang on Saturday which saw more than 500 Penangites attending the event.
According to a statement released by the group, the theme for the event this year is ‘家圆人圆’ which means a home is made complete when all family members unite. The event also saw S P Setia giving away its limited edition ang pows with this meaningful theme to its guests on that day.
To make the event even more memorable, S P Setia teamed up with Astro to produce limited edition plush toys which eight lucky winners won during the event.
Present at the celebration were Astro’s celebrities including Geraldine Gan, Danny Koo, Nicole Lai, Denise Camillia, Beta, Ezy and Apple Kho who presented songs such as ‘团满团圆饭’ , Me Too, ‘你爱我’, ‘一个人的冒险’, and ‘裙下之臣’ while Emely Poon and Catherine Ang who are MyFM radio channel DJs were the emcees for the star-studded Saturday affair.
Among some of the activities arranged for guests included rainbow calligraphy, dough doll making, fortune telling and caricature drawings. Young children were enthralled by the God of Prosperity who gave out mandarin oranges and Setia’s ang pows while Setia staff also gave out winter melon candy, honey maltose sweets and candied haw on a stick — all traditional Chinese candies enjoyed by the young ones and those young at heart.
For those who are keen to join in this event, there will be two more event celebrations, one on Jan 14 at S P Setia’s Tropika Welcome Centre in Johor as well as the finale in the Klang Valley on Jan 21 at its Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam.
