The country also recorded 1,405 recoveries in the past 24 hours — its highest in a day since the pandemic struck Malaysia in January — bringing total recoveries to date to 40,493 or 75.43% of overall infections.

The clusters namely the Kapas BJ cluster in Hulu Langat, Selangor has 76 positive cases while the Prestij cluster involving Lembah Pantai and Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur has 20 cases.
Other than that, the Bah Bercham cluster in Kinta, Perak has five cases and the Kiambang cluster which spans Mersing, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru in Johor has nine cases.
Selangor sees spike to record 407 cases
Other staff who had close contact with the employee are being self-quarantined at an assigned place.
The eight new clusters have a total of 160 infections.
Sabah contributed more than half the new cases, with 387 infections, while Klang Valley reported 173 cases.
