Harvinderjit today told Justice Mohd Nazlan that after the review, his team decided to resume the cross-examination with Ismee.
Defence counsel Harvinderjit combed through details of SRC’s board meeting minutes and dived deep into certain specific wordings in order to show SRC’s board and its management acted independently from Najib.
When asked by the prosecution about the implication of the amendment, Ismee said: "The implication to SRC is that the advisor emeritus' views would have to be taken into account in material and strategic issues on the company."
"There, Azlin gave me a letter which was signed by SRC director Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil dated June 3, 2011 [addressed] to Najib seeking for a loan of RM3.95 billion."
He repeated this three times during questioning by deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Saifuddin Hashim Musaimi about payments of RM27 million and RM5 million on Dec 26, 2014 and a payment of RM10 million made on Feb 10, 2015.
"The reason for the transfer is recorded as 'CSR (corporate social responsibility) programmes'. I recognised the remittance form as I prepared the document," the witness said.
Halijah verified a total of 16 transactions involving the above-mentioned parties over eight days — in July, August, December 2014, and January 2015.

Testifying before the court for the SRC International Sdn Bhd hearing today, the trial's 27th prosecution witness deputy accountant at the Prime Minister's Department, Putrajaya, Zarina Yusuf said Najib's last drawn salary in May 2018 was RM1,017,014.39.
