KUALA LUMPUR: Setia City Mall will see Urbanfresh — Malaysia's newest major retailer — opening its first outlet in Malaysia there, offering a new shopping experience for the residents of Setia Alam and Shah Alam to discover.

Urbanfresh will be located on the lower ground floor, adjacent to a major car park entry point and within close proximity to an easy to use drop off/pick up point, covering a space of over 27,000 square feet with a complete line of fresh produce and an extensive range of premium groceries and general merchandise.

Setia City Mall development director Robert Spinks said that the mall's team is thrilled to offer Setia City Mall customers a new and exciting supermarket concept.

"The experience of the team behind Urbanfresh is exceptional, and the quality products, vibrant store design and convenience they offer will surely please all who visit it," he said.

The people behind Urbanfresh are the same people that created the Mercato brand of supermarkets that can be found around Kuala Lumpur, bringing extensive knowledge and experience to their new venture to deliver an exceptional quality supermarket experience.

Urbanfresh's general manager, Lee Fook Kiong said that it was an honour for the retailer to be given the opportunity to launch its maiden outlet in Setia City Mall, saying that the design and retail mix of the mall would make it an exceptional place for family outings.

"And we are confident that the residents of Setia Alam, Shah Alam and the greater Klang Valley will be thrilled by what it has to offer," he said.

Urbanfresh join Parkson, Golden Screen Cinemas, Harvey Norman, Courts and Wangsa Bowl as the new mall's key attractions, with only the gym still to be announced in the near future.

These major retailers will be complimented by over 200 local and international stores, a number of large format retailers and a public park. The new mall will also offer efficient access to over 2,500 car parks and will be easily connected to nearby roads, towns and major highways.

Setia City Mall is being developed by a joint venture between S P Setia and the Asian Retail Investment Fund, a fund managed by the investment arm of international property developer Lend Lease and is set to be open in mid 2012.
