KUALA LUMPUR: The five-star business class Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur has undergone a RM42 million facelift, its general manager Hadi Yusuf said on Tuesday, Aug 10.

The hotel, located next to the Putra World Trade Centre, took three years to complete the refurbishment process, he said.

"With all the 560 rooms and suites completely renovated, guests are now pampered to the height of comfort," he said at the launch of the hotel
rebranding.

Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur is the new name for the hotel formerly known as Best Western Premier Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Present at the launch was Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin.

Hadi said a tropical theme was adopted with liberal use of earth colours such as dark red, green and orange to reflect the country's sunny weather.

He said changes have also been made to its food and beverage outlets by adopting a rotating menu items to keep in line with the tastes and high
expectations of Middle Eastern tourists.

"Currently, 40% of our guests come from the Middle East while the balance is from locals," he added.

Muhyiddin, in his speech, said facilities like Seri Pacific Hotel and the Putra World Trade Centre are ideal and strategic.

He said that various positive collaboration would help in the long-term business situation for both entities.

"I noticed that there is tremendous potential to unlock and build on the value of this area," he added.

The hotel also kicked off its 1Malaysia-Seri Pacific Hotel Charity Drive campaign as part of its corporate social responsibility project.

Hotel guests can make donations in cash and kind, which would be channelled to various homes and centres to help less fortunate children and orphanages. -- Bernama
