KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 25): Public registration is now open for more than 2,000 apartment units located within the township of Setia Alam by S P Setia Bhd, under the “Rumah Selangorku” affordable home programme.

Setia Alam homeThe launch of the registration — which will stay open until all units have been sold — took place at the Setia City Convention Centre on Saturday and was officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali. S P Setia chairman Tun Zaki Azmi (pictured) said the group will continue supporting the Selangor state government’s call for more affordable but quality housing.

“As a home-grown property developer, we are proud to support the ‘Rumah Selangorku’ initiative by the Selangor state government, as it will enable more Malaysians to afford a place they can call home,” said Zaki.

S P Setia’s contribution to the ‘Rumah Selangorku’ project comprises 737 De Kiara and 730 De Palma apartment units. All units have built-ups of approximately 800 sq ft with each unit priced at RM170,000. Also open for registration are 723 De Bayu apartment units with a built-up of approximately 900 sq ft priced at RM200,000. All units offer three bedrooms with two parking bays.

There is also a balloting session during the registration, which gives registrants a chance to be one of five lucky ones granted a first priority choice of unit selection once they are confirmed to be eligible for the “Rumah Selangorku” programme by the Selangor State Housing and Property Board.

Registrants must be Malaysian citizens above 18 years old, have a gross monthly household income of between RM3,001 and RM8,000, and intend the purchase for own use (stay) and not for rent. Additionally, the registrant must be either a wife or a husband who does not own property in Selangor or is a single with family obligations.
