• Under the MOU, NCT Group and the MEIA will focus on connecting the NSIP with stakeholders from the Guangdong province through investor relations programmes.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 13): NCT Group of Companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Malaysia Enterprises Investment Association (MEIA) to attract investment from the Guangdong province of China to NCT Group’s NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Sepang, Selangor.

Under the MOU, NCT Group and the MEIA will focus on connecting the NSIP with stakeholders from the Guangdong province through investor relations programmes. This includes marketing initiatives, the facilitation of knowledge-sharing to integrate cutting-edge innovations, and building business opportunities.

The partnership was formalised on Thursday with the signing ceremony between NCT Land Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of NCT Group, and the MEIA. The event was witnessed by Selangor state executive councillor for investment, trade and mobility Ng Sze Han.

In a press statement on Friday, NCT Group group executive director Datuk Joe Yap Fook Choy said: “Our partnership with the MEIA is instrumental to the development of the NSIP. The MEIA’s expertise in fostering trade and investment partnerships, particularly with stakeholders in China, makes them the ideal collaborator in strengthening the NSIP’s position as a global industrial hub. Coupled with our commitment to streamlining business establishment processes, the NSIP is fully equipped to attract and accommodate foreign investors, encouraging healthy foreign direct investment into Malaysia via the NSIP.”

Meanwhile, MEIA chairman Million Lo Wei Hong added: “The MEIA is delighted to partner with NCT Group on this landmark initiative. The NSIP represents the integration of technology, sustainability and economic opportunities. Through this MOU, we aim to drive growth, foster innovation, and position the NSIP as a model for industrial excellence that attracts investments and fosters economic progress on a global scale.”

Situated in Sepang, the NSIP is part of the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS), a plan that aims to catalyse development in the southern part of the state.
