SHAH ALAM: I-Bhd, the developer of i-City, expects to see a 30% growth in visitors with the opening of Malaysia's first interactive wax museum, Red Carpet, and other attractions it has in the pipeline.
Red Carpet is a RM25 million, 30,000 sq ft wax museum set with an Oscar awards gala theme. The interactive wax exhibits come to life via a synchronisation of voice and motion attributable to the latest technology in wax exhibit display.
The exhibit is a Visit Malaysia Year 2014 tourism product that will cater to international and domestic visitors, and is expected to attract 30,000 visitors monthly. Currently, i-City, made up of various rides and key attractions, draws an average of 90,000 visitors per week.
According to I-Bhd director Monica Ong, it is in the midst of unveiling its House of Horror, that features an exquisite night art at end-August.
The event was officiated by Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.

It comprises corporate towers, cyber office suites, serviced apartments, hotels and theme park, data centre, and a 1.5 million sq ft shopping mall jointly-developed with Thailand's Central Retail Group.
