KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Ng Tiong Lip, better known as Datuk Jeffrey Ng, 53, has resigned as an executive director at Sunway City Bhd (SunCity) effective May 20, said a Bursa Malaysia announcement on the same day.
The former Managing Director of Asia Pacific Land Berhad was appointed to the Board of SunCity on March 3, 2008.
He is currently the Managing Director of Urban Hallmark Properties Sdn Bhd, a boutique property developer.
Ng has more than 26 years of experience in finance, corporate planning and executive management in the property and hotel industry both in Malaysia and Australia.
He has held various positions in the past such as President of the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA), Past Chairman of REHDA Wilayah Persekutuan (KL) Branch, Board Member of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Vice-President and Secretary-General of FIABCI Malaysian Chapter (the International Real Estate Federation), Vice-President of the Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (MAHO), Chapter Chairman of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO) Malaysia Chapter and Vice-Chairman of the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC).
Ng, who holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from University of Monash in Melbourne, is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
SunCity Group's principal activities are the development of residential and commercial properties, operation of hotels, theme parks and related activities, rendering of recreational club facilities and operation of travel and tour business. Other activities include management and operation of shopping mall, medical centre and management and letting of property. The Group's operations are located in Malaysia, Australia and other Asian countries.
