PETALING JAYA: The upcoming International Real Estate Symposium (IRES) will deliberate on macro dynamics of real estate markets, enabling the expected 200 participants to feel the pulse of the global industry landscape.
Fadariah Yaacob, head of corporate and public affairs with the National Insitute of Valuation (INSPEN), the organiser of IRES, said participants at the three-day symposium would deliberate on various topics. These include the impact of the 2008/2009 global financial crisis on global property markets and professions, besides real estate policies in Asia.
"The paper works will be presented based on their (speakers) research papers," Fadariah told theedgeproperty.com.
The bi-annual event from April 27 to April 29 2010 at the Putra World Trade Centre will gather six speakers from Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin will launch the symposium on April 27.
IRES is a joint initiative by INSPEN with the Institute of Surveyors Malaysia as well as five foreign universities.
These include London South Bank University, University of Western Sydney, University of Hong Kong, University of Ulster and University of Reading.
