KUALA LUMPUR: Dijaya Corporation Bhd has re-designated Dickson Tan Yong Loong as its executive director from his previous position as non-executive director.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on April 1, the developer said ithe 29-year-old son of Tan Sri Tan Chee Sing, the group chief executive and a major shareholder of Dijaya, currently oversees group corporate strategy, planning and risk management. He also serves on the board of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort Berhad, Tropicana Indah Sdn Bhd, Tropicana City Sdn Bhd, Tenaga Kimia Sdn Bhd, Palmgold Corporation Sdn Bhd, TT Resources Bhd and several other local and international private limited companies.

Tan graduated from King's College, University of London, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business Management and holds a Masters of Science in Internal Auditing and Management from Cass Business School, City University, United Kingdom.

He began his career with CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd as an Equities Analyst in 2004 and joined Dijaya Corporation as business development manager the following year. He was subsequently appointed business development general manager and editor-in-chief of “The Address” and “Directions” publications in 2006.
