KUALA LUMPUR (April 8): Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd (KL:FAJAR) said on Tuesday it has clinched a RM63.7 million contract for construction works in Klang, Selangor.

In a filing with the exchange, the construction outfit said its wholly owned subsidiary, FBG Builder Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award from Jurutera Perunding Primareka Sdn Bhd, issued on behalf of Petaling Garden Sdn Bhd, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of S P Setia Bhd (KL:SPSETIA).

The contract covers the construction and completion of roads, drainage, and two reinforced concrete slab crossings for the Petronas gas pipeline at Setia Alaman Industrial Park.

Fajarbaru said the work is scheduled to begin on April 11 and will span nine months, with completion expected by Jan 10, 2026.

With this latest win, Fajarbaru’s total order book has risen to RM1.14 billion, providing the group with earnings visibility through to 2027.

“We are pleased to have secured yet another contract and are glad to work alongside our partners, who have been the cornerstone of our success thus far,” said group executive chairman Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy in a statement.

Shares in Fajarbaru closed one sen or 4.4% higher at 24 sen on Tuesday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM178.7 million. Year-to-date, the stock has fallen over 29%.
