Aussie developer Crown Group unveils S$575m Sydney project in Singapore

SINGAPORE (Aug 17): Australian property developer Crown Group unveiled its latest S$575 million (RM1.67 billion) project, Infinity by Crown Group at Grand Hyatt Singapore yesterday.

The soon to be built project, which will be located at the Green Square Town Centre in Sydney, was unveiled by Crown Group chief, Iwan Sunito.

“In selecting the concept for Infinity by Crown Group, we looked for a design which would become a key pillar in the new Green Square precinct, work in harmony with the public spaces and, most importantly, a design which would be modern and beautiful for years to come” said Sunito.

Awarded the 2014 UDIA NSW Concept Design award, the 20-storey, 401-apartment Infinity by Crown Group challenges conventional residential apartment design with a unique looped shape and 1,180 sq m open-air garden plaza surrounded by retail outlets, restaurants and cafés. The development will be completed in 2019 and apartment sales will commence on Aug 29, 2015.

City of Sydney Lord Mayor, Clover Moore said the unveiling of Infinity by Crown Group was a step forward in the continued evolution of the city’s Green Square precinct.

“The A$8 billion [RM24.18 billion] Green Square development is one of the biggest and most significant development sites in Australia. The city is investing A$440 million to make it one of the most desirable places to live, work and invest” said Moore.

Designed by Koichi Takada Architects, Infinity by Crown Group features an infinity-edge pool, spa, gym, music rooms, theatre, concierge, a roof top terrace and sky lounge.

The building has a unique looped shape along with a void in its north-facing façade which allows natural light to penetrate a central landscaped plaza and apartment balconies, which may have otherwise been shaded.

A tiered apartment structure on the development’s south side – complete with cascading external gardens – will provide year-round daylight to south-facing apartments; while a northern-side lounge and function room, The Sky Lounge, will capture northern views and light from the north.

Infinity by Crown Group is located less than six kilometres from Sydney’s CBD on the corner of Bourke Street and Botany Road close to Green Square train station, within the Sydney’s A$8 billion Green Square Urban Renewal area.

By 2030, Green Square Urban Renewal area is expected to have around 54,000 residents and 22,000 workers.

More than 500 official expressions of interest and thousands of enquiries have been received for Infinity by Crown Group.
