AmanahRaya REIT retains Mohd Iskandar as managing director

KUALA LUMPUR (March 17): AmanahRaya Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) (KL:ARREIT) has officially appointed acting managing director (MD) Mohd Iskandar Dzulkarnain Ramli as MD of AmanahRaya Kenedix REIT Manager Sdn Bhd, effective immediately.

Mohd Iskandar has been serving in the acting role following the departure of Tunku Rozita Tunku Abdul Malek in January. Tunku Rozita stepped down as executive director and MD of the REIT manager due to personal reasons.

“Mohd Iskandar brings extensive expertise in corporate strategy, risk management, financial planning and property investment management across multiple sectors," AmanahRaya REIT said in a statement on Monday.

The REIT added that during his term as acting MD, Mohd Iskandar displayed a strategic vision which underscores the REIT’s commitment to maintaining a portfolio of high-quality, income-generating assets, particularly in the education, industrial and wellness sectors.

Commenting on his appointment, Mohd Iskandar said he is honoured to take on the role and remains focused on optimising the REIT’s asset portfolio, driving sustainable growth and ensuring long-term value creation for unitholders.

AmanahRaya REIT currently manages a diversified portfolio of 12 properties valued at RM1.24 billion. These include office complexes, educational institutions, industrial buildings, retail complexes and hotels, with assets located across Johor, Kedah and Kuala Lumpur.

At the time of writing, units of AmanahRaya REIT were trading half a sen or 1.30% higher at 39 sen, giving the REIT a market capitalisation of RM223.6 million.
