KUALA LUMPUR (April 18): Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP) on Friday unveiled a 760-acre industrial development within the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 growth area in Negeri Sembilan.

The Vision Business Park (VBP) features an 80:20 industrial-to-commercial ratio, with 623 acres for industrial use and 137 acres for commercial businesses of all sizes, said Sime Darby Property in a statement.

With an expected gross development value of RM2.4 billion, VBP is anticipated to create 15,000 job opportunities, the group said.

VBP offers a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, including ready-built factories, industrial plots, shop offices, and R&D centres to support business growth. Its clustered master plan encourages synergy, complemented by shared facilities such as labour quarters and centralized heavy vehicle parking.

Sime Darby Property said VBP has direct access to the Nilai-Labu-Enstek Road, providing seamless connectivity to key hubs like the Nilai Inland Port, Kuala Lumpur International Airport and North-South Expressway.

The group, which has already developed over 6,000 acres in Negeri Sembilan, said it is now expanding its footprint through industrial projects in southern Nilai.

“VBP is a key step in our commitment to industrial development, supporting Negeri Sembilan’s economic transformation. As a future-ready industrial hub, VBP will attract businesses, create jobs, and strengthen the state’s position as an industrial growth centre,” said Datuk Seri Azmir Merican, group managing director and CEO of Sime Darby Property.

According to him, VBP’s location, strong connectivity, and sustainability-focused design make it a solid investment for businesses in logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing.

Shares in Sime Darby Property closed two sen or 1.7% higher at RM1.22, valuing the group at RM8.3 billion.
