Taiwan's YeaShin International soft launches 5-star Birkin International Hotel in Melaka

• The 526-room hotel is YeaShin International’s inaugural hospitality venture in Malaysia.

MELAKA (Jan 23): YeaShin Construction Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian subsidiary of Taiwan-based YeaShin International Development Co Ltd, a publicly listed company on the Taipei Stock Exchange, has announced the soft launch of the Birkin International Hotel (Birkin International).

The 526-room, 5-star luxury hotel is YeaShin International’s inaugural hospitality venture in Malaysia.

In a statement today, Birkin International said the project has a gross development cost of RM500 million and aims to offer an unparalleled experience for travellers around the globe.

“Overlooking the iconic Straits of Melaka, the exceptional hospitality gem promises world travellers an extraordinary experience in the heart of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) World Heritage Site.

“Designed by a team of award-winning Taiwanese architects, interior designers, and landscape planners, the iconic property redefines the art of hospitality by seamlessly blending world-class sophistication with a commitment to environmental and social responsibility,” it said.

The Birkin International sits on the pristine shorelines of Klebang and is perfectly positioned near Melaka’s historical and cultural landmarks such as the A Famosa fortress, St Paul’s Hill and Ruins, Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum, Chong Hoon Teng Temple, Jonker Street, and The Stadthuys, as well as key business districts and vibrant cultural hubs.

Birkin International general manager Simon Tan said the hotel represents the future of hospitality, a union of refined elegance, exceptional amenities and a steadfast commitment to sustainability.
