PETALING JAYA (Jan 6): Glomac Bhd has clarified that the recent flash floods caused by a barrier breach in Taman Seri Alam was not within its township Bandar Saujana Utama.
In the incident that occurred on Dec 29, 2024, it was reported that almost 200 homes in Taman Seri Alam, Saujana Utama were impacted by flash floods following the collapse of a water retention pond bund.

“Due to numerous media headlines and public speculations, we would like to clarify that the retention pond is situated in our neighbouring area, Taman Seri Alam, and not within our development project, Bandar Saujana Utama,” Glomac said in a media statement on Jan 3.
The developer said although the pond’s water did overflow into a small area of its township, “most part of Bandar Saujana Utama remains largely unaffected”.
Glomac conveyed its sympathy to the affected residents and noted that “the responsible developer is undertaking remedial measures to address the breach”.
“Nevertheless, we continue to exercise vigilance in monitoring the safety and well-being of our township developments,” it stated.
