KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 5): Inta Bina Group Bhd (KL:INTA) has secured another construction contract from Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP) worth RM96.55 million to undertake main building and construction works for a 37-storey serviced apartment project in Putra Heights, Selangor.

The construction firm said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Inta Bina Sdn Bhd, was awarded the contract by Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd, the group bourse filing showed.

The project involves the construction of 246 business serviced apartments and 62 affordable business units, five levels of parking and other resident facilities, it said.

Inta Bina said the contract duration would take 30 months, with completion targeted by March 17, 2027.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings throughout its duration,” Inta Bina said in the filing.

This latest win marks the sixth construction project secured by Inta Bina this year, bringing its total orderbook of RM1.16 billion.

Shares of Inta Bina closed 1.5 sen or 3% down to 48.5 sen on Thursday, valuing the company at RM267.22 million.

In June, the group secured a RM111 million contract for the construction of 174 semi-detached houses from Gamuda Bhd (KL: GAMUDA). It also clinched a RM198.73 million contract to develop a residential apartment project in Ara Damansara from Sime Darby Property in May. 

Earlier, in April, Inta Bina won three major construction contracts, including a RM348.92 million contract for a mixed development project in Shah Alam, a RM169.67 million contract for a serviced apartment project in Country Heights, and a RM224.8 million contract for a 38-storey business serviced apartment project in Subang Jaya.
