PETALING JAYA (July 26): S P Setia Bhd took home Gold and Silver awards for two developments — Essex Gardens in Setia Eco Templer and Setia City Mall, respectively — at The Edge Malaysia Best Managed & Sustainable Property Awards 2024 (BMSPA 2024) held at One World Hotel last week.

Essex Gardens, Setia Eco Templer is the Gold Winner of the Below 10 Years: Multiple Owned Strata Residential Category. Essex Gardens forms part of the township of Setia Eco Templer, Templer Park, Rawang, comprising 234 units ranging from 2,394 to 7,000 sq ft, with a launch price of RM360 psf.

The development was fully sold in 2016 and was handed over to its management committee in 2022. Completed in 2019, the 42-acre development is surrounded by Bukit Takun, Templer Park and Waterfall Forest Park Kanching, and is managed by LaurelCap Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile, Setia City Mall has emerged as the Silver Winner of the 10 Years & Above: Retail Category. Setia City Mall is a joint-venture (JV) development between S P Setia and Asian Retail Investment Fund, a wholesale fund managed by global property and infrastructure group, Lendlease.

The shopping centre, which has a total built-up area of 3.4 million sq ft, with a net lettable area (NLA) of 1.17 million sq ft, comprises four levels of retail space and seven levels of car park space with 4,095 parking bays. It is currently 98% leased.
