UDA to fund all refurbishment works to Lorong UDA in Perlis

KUALA PERLIS (Feb 26): UDA Holdings Bhd has committed itself to fund any renovation and beautification works to “Lorong UDA” here, which was officiated by the Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, Raja Muda of Perlis last Saturday (Feb 24).

The event also saw the kick-off of the UDA Cares Cycling Programme.

The three-day programme, which ended on Feb 25 (Sun), was organised in collaboration the Perlis Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs). Held at Tapak Pasar Tani Kekal, Simpang Empat, Perlis, it was part of UDA’s corporate social responsibility for the Entrepreneur Carnival and MADANI Mega Sale in Perlis.

“By organising this cycling activity with MAIPs, UDA continues to be proactive in engaging with the local community while advocating community health and wellness. Cycling activity is not only becoming a routine but also the main choice of outdoor activity among Malaysians,” said UDA president and chief executive officer Datuk Sr Mohd Salem Kailany.

The UDA Cares Cycling Program is in line with the property developer’s new branding towards sustainability – “L.I.F.E”, which stands for Legacy, Integrated, Finesse and Enrich.

The UDA Cares Cycling Program kicked off at Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Mosque, Seberang Alor Village, went through Seberang Ramai Warna-Warni Village before ending at Dataran Semarak.

Seberang Ramai Warna-Warni Village is one of the state’s main attractions, well known for its colourfully-painted village houses and “choley” or three-wheeled motorcycle rides. 

In conjunction with the event, UDA contributed a zakat donation of RM10,000 to Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Mosque and RM1,000 each to three asnaf families.
