SELANGOR (Aug 4): Malaysia Property Exposition (Mapex) Selangor Barat 2023 by the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (Rehda) Selangor was inaugurated at Central I-City Shah Alam, Selangor, on Friday (Aug 4).

Running from Aug 3 to 6 (Thursday to Sunday) in Central I-City, the 4-day Rehda Selangor's Mapex Selangor Barat 2023 showcases property developments while fostering meaningful industry dialogue, mainly focusing on sustainability, affordability and community well-being.

In a media statement on Friday, organising chairman Denn Gan Teck Wee highlighted the event's dedication in showcasing advancements in artificial intelligence and digitalisation in the real estate sector.

Meanwhile, Rehda Selangor chairman Datuk Zaini Yusoff (pictured) emphasised on the housing's pivotal role in societal well-being and economic progress. He lauded collaborative efforts between developers and local authorities to address the critical issue of affordable housing, expressing support for the partnership's commitment to quality, affordable housing solutions.

"As responsive, respected, responsible and relevant developers, in addition to the advent of artificial intelligence, it is imperative that we continue to keep abreast of the latest updates impacting our industry as we strive to embrace the best practices and trends in the housing industry," said Zaini.

The guest of honour of Friday’s event, the president of Klang Municipal Council Noraini Roslan also said that the effort to provide affordable and sustainable housing is never easy to implement.

“To ensure its success, local authorities need cooperation from all parties. We call upon private developers, contractors, professionals, and financial institutions to work together in providing affordable and sustainable housing, especially for the people of Selangor," she concluded.
