• Tan has served as a board member in the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEAP), in which time he has held the role of chair of the Estate Agency Practice Committee (EAPC). 

PETALING JAYA (July 4): The Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) has announced the appointment of its new board of directors, with Tan Kian Aun as its president for the term beginning July 1.   

Tan takes over from immediate past president Chan Ai Cheng, whose two year-term ended on June 30. 

With years of practising real estate experience in Malaysia and Australia and a passion for the industry, Tan is ready to lead the real estate association to new heights, stated MIEA in a media release yesterday.  

"Real estate plays a vital role in Malaysia's economy, and we must adapt to the changing times while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and service towards the society. I am eager to collaborate with our members and stakeholders to elevate the professionalism and betterment of the practice," said Tan in the statement. 

Tan has served as a board member in the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEAP), in which time he has held the role of chair of the Estate Agency Practice Committee (EAPC). 

He is currently an associate director with Hartamas Real Estate (M) Sdn Bhd.
