KUALA LUMPUR (March 1): Juwai IQI announced yesterday that it will be holding two “massive events” at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre tomorrow and on March 3.

The global real estate company stated that the Juwai IQI Exponential Convention and the Juwai IQI Festival 2023 are “set to be the largest real estate events in Malaysia this year with around 6,000 members from around the world expected to attend”.

Juwai IQI said that represents about 20% of the company's 30,000 worldwide real estate agents and associates.

Other attendees will include associates, partner businesses, and property technology companies from around the world.

"The Juwai IQI Exponential Convention and the Juwai IQI Festival 2023 are going to be the largest real estate events in the region, bringing together top agents from around the world to explore new ideas and technologies that will help them to better serve their clients,” said Kashif Ansari (pictured), co-founder and group CEO of Juwai IQI.

"We want all our agents to thrive, be empowered, and to receive recognition through an awards and achievements program. We want them to learn about the latest proptech innovation, since technology is a bigger part of home sales than before.

“And we want agents to walk away after the events with tech enablement, enhanced blueprints for the best real estate practices, and with a larger and more tightly woven network of global partners that can help them develop their businesses,” he added.

Juwai IQI co-founder and group managing director, Daniel Ho said that his company chose to host the two events in Malaysia as “it is the heart of Southeast Asia, an increasingly interwoven region with a population of 670 million”.

"We believe that these events will accelerate our record of double-digit sales growth each year over the past 10 years. We grew transactions 38% in 2022 and by 40% in 2021,” added Ho.

According to Juwai IQI’s 2022 calendar year results announced on Feb 16, the company recorded a 38% growth in completed transactions and US$3.1 billion (RM13.74 billion) in sales.

Juwai IQI also increased its global agent network by more than 9,000, with the headcount now reaching more than 30,000. The company also opened 11 new offices, which means it currently has a presence in 20 countries.

Meanwhile, the Juwai IQI Exponential Convention and the Juwai IQI Festival 2023 will aim to supercharge Juwai IQI's momentum going into 2023 and use the events to reveal the latest innovations in its Atlas real estate technology platform. The new features will enable agents to increase their commission income, in some cases by multiples of its current level.

Also of note is the collaboration deal between Juwai IQI and EdgeProp that was inked last year.

“We have an application programming interface with EdgeProp’s listing site. These are amazing mechanics that help our agents become more productive, and we look forward to growing this collaboration,” said Ho recently about the collaboration.
