PETALING JAYA (March 23): Setia Awan Group has opened for registration 664 units of the Astrum Ampang Phase 2 SOHO Suites 1, following the success of the development's first phase which saw a 90% take up after its launch in 3Q last year.

In a statement, Setia Awan Group central region chief operating officer James Bruyns said: “One of the key factors that contributed to the good response of Phase 1 was the My First Home Scheme programme that makes property ownership a seamless process for first time homebuyers. The project's strategic location and it being a transit-oriented development is another winning factor for the encouraging take-up rate. We foresee continued response from the market for the SOHO Suites 1.”

With an estimated gross development value of RM600 million, Phase 2 comprises SOHO Suites 1 and SOHO Transit 2, where the latter will be launched at a later date. The former is priced from RM430,000 and will cater to young working adults, small families and investors. The units are designed to be bigger and are in a lower density tower that come with bigger windows, allowing for better natural light as well as higher energy efficiency.

The development will offer a five-acre landscaped podium, offering facilities such as an infinity pool, sunken Jacuzzi, smart gym, children’s indoor playground, antioxidant room, multipurpose hall, outdoor theatre and community centres.

Future residents of the project will also enjoy the services of the 27 commercial shops that are located on the ground floor. For more retail and lifestyle experience, the upcoming Datum Mall located adjacent to Astrum Ampang will further complement residents’ needs.

Astrum Ampang is surrounded by various amenities, such as international schools, shopping malls, recreational parks and healthcare facilities. The development is a 16-minute drive to the Kuala Lumpur city centre and 150m away from the Jelatek LRT station via a proposed covered pedestrian bridge. Accessibility to the area is via Jalan Ampang, Jalan Jelatek, Middle Ring Road 2, the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway and Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway.
