KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 2): The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) enforced on the subsidiaries of Lii Hen Industries Bhd in Muar, Johor has been lifted by the Ministry of Health (MoH), the company said.

In a filing with the local bourse, Lii Hen said the balance 875 employees placed under quarantine and isolation between Jan 16 and 29, 2021 had fully recovered from Covid-19, with the ministry ending the EMCO enforced on the foreign workers' dormitories of EF Furniture Sdn Bhd, Kejora Juara Sdn Bhd, CT Haup Heng Sdn Bhd, Lii Hen Furniture Sdn Bhd and Favourite Design Sdn Bhd.

“With the whole site disinfection and sanitisation undertaken, every facility of these subsidiaries has resumed operations, and all employees have been allowed to resume work with effect from Jan 30, 2021,” it said.

The company said it continues to adhere to preventive standard operating procedures (SOPs) and had in place all the necessary precautionary measures to safeguard the well-being of its employees.

Lii Hen had fallen five sen or 1.3% to RM3.79 as as the time of writing today, giving the stock a market capitalisation of RM682.2 million.
