KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 12): Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd said one of its non-client facing employees tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

The employee is currently receiving medical attention at an appointed government hospital, and has been physically absent from work since Monday (Nov 9), it said in a statement.

“In line with the bank’s safety and health guidelines on Covid-19, we have initiated a contact tracing exercise and notified our other employees who may have had close contact with the affected employee,” said Alliance Bank. 

“We have arranged for these employees to get tested for Covid-19, and have advised them to remain in home quarantine,” it said.

The bank added that it is carrying out a thorough sanitisation exercise of the affected floor in the building and other common facilities in accordance with health and safety guidelines immediately.
