PETALING JAYA (Oct 7): A teacher from Taman Sea secondary school (SMK Taman Sea), Petaling Jaya has tested positive for Covid-19, reported The Sun Daily.

Citing an anonymous administration staff from the school, the report said the teacher had tested positive on Oct 5 and had yet to return to the school since Sept 30. The teacher was infected via close contact with a Covid-19 patient from Kelantan.

Some students’ parents also received a WhatsApp message about the confirmed Covid-19 case in the school today. However, no official statement has been issued by the school yet.

According to the source, the school has not received any directive from the authorities to close. However, students from the four classes under the said teacher are allowed to stay home.
