KUALA LUMPUR (July 22): A couple in their 80s from Taiwan have suddenly gained fame via Instagram when they decided to “model” clothes not collected by customers at their laundry.
You must be thinking: Wouldn’t customers get annoyed by such actions but a report by the South China Morning (SCMP) post assured that the clothes are old ones left in their premises for many years.
Anyway, netizens seem to be tickled and supportive of their actions.
“They dress more hip than I do,” wrote a person when the couples’ photos in the “old” clothes were posted on the The Idea King Facebook, reported SCMP.
“Living their best life in their 80s!! Now THAT’S #couplegoals” said another supporter.
“Impressed how they put outfits together so effortlessly even with the random fit of each pieces,” was another comment.
Some jokingly said they wanted those clothes back.
“They decided to wear those leftover clothes to make fun of their life,” The Idea King stated in their posting of photos the “fashionable” couple.
The couple’s Instagram account wantshowasyoung currently has 51,000 followers.
According to the SCMP report, the account stated that the couple is Wanji and Sho-Er and that their grandson “just can’t bear to see them overwhelmed with boredom everyday”.
So, he encouraged them to “reinterpret fashion, hoping to let everyone know that age is not a barrier to have fun in fashion and even old clothing can be transformed into trendy outfits”.
