KUALA LUMPUR (April 16): Four new cases were reported in the Kampung Baru and Bali clusters of infections, according to the data given by the Ministry of Health.

This brings the total of infections related to the Bali cluster to 24 cases, while Kampung Baru has 27 infections.

Meanwhile, the sub-cluster in the madrasah in Jerantut, Pahang has recorded two new infections, bringing the total cases in the cluster to 64.

There was no new case in other clusters.

Among all clusters, the Sungai Lui Madrasah sub-cluster has recorded the highest total infections with 126 cases, followed by the church event cluster in Sarawak (117 cases with three deaths), wedding reception in Bandar Baru Bangi (96 cases), Rembau (53 cases), Italy cluster (50 cases with five deaths), Sendayan cluster (40 cases with one death), Jasin madrasah sub-cluster (37 cases), and Penanti Madrasah sub-cluster which has six cases.

The highest number of recoveries recorded is the Bandar Baru Bangi wedding reception cluster with 79 recoveries. The Kampung Baru and Sendayan clusters have not recorded any recoveries.

As of noon yesterday, Malaysia has reported 85 new infections - the lowest daily figure since the Movement Control Order (MCO), bringing the tally to 5,072 cases.

The number of daily recoveries exceeded the number of daily infections for the seventh time with 169 cases. Total recoveries are now at 2,647.

One more death was reported yesterday – a Malaysian man aged 69 who had diabetes and high blood pressure. The death toll is now 83.
