KUALA LUMPUR (March 17): Kumpulan Jetson Bhd has been awarded a RM78.93 million contract by Asia Pacific University Sdn Bhd for the construction of a private higher education institution.

In a filing today, the company said its wholly-owned subsidiary Jetson Construction Sdn Bhd has accepted the contract, which is expected to be completed by June 30, 2021.

“The contract is not expected to have a material effect on the net assets and gearing of Jetson for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of Jetson and its group of companies for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020,” it said.

Jetson’s share price rose half a sen or 4.35% to close at 12 sen, giving a market capitalisation of RM25.39 million.
