PETALING JAYA (Feb 11): The first green energy-powered homes in Sime Darby Property’s City of Elmina township in Shah Alam has achieved an 80% take-up rate during their first preview on Dec 14, 2019. The homes will be opened for final preview this coming Saturday (Feb 15).

The Ilham Residence double-storey linked homes are the first of four phases within Elmina Grove, which is City of Elmina’s maiden landed strata precinct, Ilham Residence comprises  513 freehold units with built-ups ranging  from 1,387 sq ft to 2,341 sq ft and prices from RM583,999 after discounts and rebates.

Dubbed the first green powered residential development in the City of Elmina, units in Ilham Residence will be installed with solar panels, smart green meters and home energy management systems.

Homeowners will be able to manage their energy consumption, as well as allow them to sell excess energy back to TNB under the Net Energy Metering (NEM) scheme.

“The Smart Green Home Solutions create awareness on responsible energy consumption which addresses concerns such as climate change and the rising cost of living,” Sime Darby Property General Manager Appollo Leong Yong Kuan said in a media release today.

He added that Ilham Residence was designed to meet the needs of all types of families, from young couples to a growing and multigenerational family. Value-added extras and multigenerational features at Ilham Residence include wide, unobstructed spaces, detachable child-safety gates, foldable handrails in the bathrooms, built-in Bluetooth speakers and sockets equipped with USB ports, among others. There will also be a 24-hour security and perimeter fencing guarding the development.

Facilities include 10 acres of interactive green spaces, 2.5km of jogging paths and cycling tracks, five themed gardens, and over 16 unique recreational facilities such as a tree house, tea house, skate park, outdoor fitness equipment, sprint track, herb and spice garden and so on.

The township is easily accessible via the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), LATAR Expressway, Elite Highway and Federal Highway. Moreover, the upcoming Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH) is expected to significantly shorten travel time from the township to the KL city centre.
