SEPANG (Oct 19): A four day remand order has been obtained by the police against four suspects connected to the hit and run incident in Cyberjaya.

The Star reports that the three Middle-Eastern men and a Malaysian woman had been arrested at approximately midnight in Pusat Bandar Putra Permai in Seri Kembangan and at Verdi Residence in Cyberjaya.

"The silver Hyundai involved in the hit-and-run was also seized during the arrests," Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Aziz Ali was quoted as saying.

The four detainees are students of an international university in Cyberjaya, he added.

"One of the men arrested admitted to driving the silver Hyundai during the accident," he said.

The case is classified under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

On Oct 17, the victim Wan Amirah Wan Alias had been hit by a car and dragged along the street at Shaftsbury Square.

Wan Amirah, an assistant manager with Unifi, passed away at Hospital Putrajaya at 5am on Oct 18.
