KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): They are going after his stuff both in the high seas and in the skies. First, it was a luxury vessel, now Putrajaya wants to take hold of fugitive financier Jow Low's private jet plane.

According to a Malay Mail report, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pictured) revealed today that the government has started work to recover the private jet that is also believed to have been bought with money allegedly stolen from the controversial 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Earlier reports have said that the private jet, a Bombardier Global 5000, was impounded by Singapore authorities in 2017 and grounded at the republic's Seletar Airport. The price tag of the plane is RM143 million.

Dr Mahathir was asked about reports that Malaysia is bringing back the plane when met by the media after visiting an art exhibition "Tun M: A Forever Legacy" at the Perdana University here today,

Bernama reported him saying: "Yes, I think so. We have to bring it back."

Dr Mahathir reiterated that the Malaysian government was trying to get back all the money that has been stolen from the country.

"We know who has it but of course we do not know where they are. And the need for us to access the money depends on our proving that it is our money," Benama reported him saying.
