JOHOR BAHRU (Aug 4): The balloting for S P Setia Bhd’s Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) at Setia Business Park 2 today saw a turnout of almost 1,000 people.
During the event, the developer also handed over the first 15 units of the RMMJ to their new owners.
RMMJ is an initiative by the local government to cater to the demand for affordable housing in the state. The 67.54-acre Setia Business Park 2 will feature commercial developments and parks.
Under the RMMJ affodable housing programme, S P Setia will offer a total of 490 units of 2-storey cluster terraced homes measuring 18 ft by 60 ft, namely Sri Senja (236 units) and Sri Embun (254 units). Launched in May 2017, the units are modestly priced between RM150,000 to RM206,000 each. Sri Embun and Sri Senja have built-ups of 1,054 and 1,167 sq ft, respectively.
“As the leading developer in the country, S P Setia remains diligent in our commitment to creat well-balanced and sustainable communities where families can embrace a wholesome lifestyle true to our development philosophy of Live Learn Work Play,” said S P Setia chairman Tan Sri Wan Mohd Zahid at the balloting and handing over of keys ceremony.
“We always emphasise the aspect of good quality of life, which is an important element in all our community developments,” he added.
The event was graced by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
