She noted that such units are in demand as there are more retirees these days looking for smaller landed homes that are easy to maintain and located in strategic areas.

“Some old and retired people do not mind down-sizing from a 3,000 sq ft bungalow for example, to a smaller house, which do not have many stairs, and is close to amenities. It is very difficult to find this kind of property in the market, especially the good ones which are in move-in condition,” she explained.

According to data from TheEdgeProperty.com, from 2012 to the third quarter of 2016 (3Q2016), the highest average transacted price for terraced houses in Bangsar was in 3Q2016, with an average price of RM2.55 million per unit.

The available listings on TheEdgeProperty.com show that the average asking price for terraced houses in Bangsar Park is RM1.77 million per unit.
