Quarterly revenue, however, contracted 24% to RM327.61 million from RM430.1 million in 3QFY18, due to lower settlement of Aurora Melbourne Central and Conservatory, and lower sales of completed units, its stock exchange filings today showed.
This resulted in a higher earnings per share of 3.6 sen for 1QFY20 compared with 3.3 sen for 1QFY19.
As a result, its earnings per share was higher at 5.28 sen for 3QFY19 compared with 5.07 sen for 3QFY18.
"It's been 36 years since [the] longhouse people were promised accommodation and DBKL is doing its best to deliver it to them. DBKL asked me whether I would do it free of charge for them, and I said yes," Sri Ram said.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the group said revenue for the quarter slipped to RM263.33 million from RM269.89 million a year ago.
As a result, the MACC had today agreed to withdraw its forfeiture action against Bustari.
The suit will now be heard before a new High Court judge, Justice Datuk Rozana Ali Yusoff.
Meanwhile, revenue dropped 5.39% to RM388.16 million from RM410.26 million, whereas earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter declined to 1.35 sen from 1.75 sen last year.
"He had offered his services pro bono (free) to DBKL for the case. When the offer was referred to the legal firm representing DBKL in this case, the firm agreed to accept the offer," said the minister's office in a statement.
