The 16 new cases in the capital were part of the total 38 reported yesterday.
This brings the total number of cases in Malaysia to 5,742 cases, while the number of active cases continue to drop to 1,882 — the lowest level in four weeks.
The number of patients discharged for the day was 121. The country has been reporting a higher number of recoveries compared to new cases since the start of the third phase of the movement control order on April 15.
Based on the MoH’s statistics, most of the active cases were in the Lembah Pantai district, where there were 210 active cases and 670 cumulative infections.
