The wife of former premier Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak had sought the stay, pending the government's appeal on the appointment of an independent jeweller to identify the 44 pieces of jewellery sent to her but which she claims had been seized by the government.

Sri Ram said Lokman had made two separate statements via a video with the transcript before the court, which is a clear attempt to interfere in the due administration of justice at the prima facie stage in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) trial.

Sessions Court judge Rozilah Salleh allowed bail at RM330,000 with one surety and that Nasharudin surrender his passport to court.

The application was filed last Friday (Oct 18), but no dates have been fixed by the High Court to hear the application. However, the court has fixed a mention date on Oct 31.

MACC said it has obtained the go-ahead from the attorney-general to charge Nasharudin, who was detained at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 2pm yesterday for questioning. 

LDP’s counsels led by lawyer and former Sessions Court judge Datuk Jagjit Singh, told the court that the parties have agreed to settlement due to the representation sent.

Mohd Zaid also denied today that the MACC forced him to implicate Mohd Isa, while under the commission's custody.

Justice Datuk Nordin Hassan said this was because Deloitte PLT partner Ng Yee Hong had not exhausted his avenues, noting he has lodged an appeal to MIA's Disciplinary Appeal Board.

"Isa told us that PM (Najib) wants FIC to reconsider the acquisition of the hotel. The board takes into consideration what Isa said and no questions were asked," said FIC ex-CEO Mohd Zaid Abdul Jalil.

As a result, Gurupatham and Rajivan said Justice Wong Chee Lin will hear Rosmah's stay application on Tuesday morning, and make a decision on the application then.
