GELUGOR, PENANG (Aug 18): IJM Land Bhd’s 3-storey Udini Square mixed-use commercial development at Metro East here has seen 84% of its office space leased and 59% of its mall space taken up since leasing opened last year, said northern region senior general manager Datuk Toh Chin Leong.
The development has 103 units of offices and retail shops, with built-up areas ranging from 113 sq ft to 2,855 sq ft for lease and features Sportsdirect.com, MST Golf Superstore and Mr D.I.Y as anchor tenants.
The retail space takes up the first two floors while the office space occupies the last floor, he said.
During the Aug 8 official opening of the mall, IJM Land managing director Edward Chong said the mall is expected to cater to shoppers from Penang and neighbouring states.
“We believe the mall’s opening will bring greater convenience and more choices to people living and working in this precinct, and add to the amalgamation of lifestyle, retail and dining options – one more place for Penangites to enjoy,” he added.
The project, which sits on a 2.78-acre tract, has a gross development value of RM75 million, a net lettable area of 110,001 sq ft and gross floor area of 264,000 sq ft.
Other tenants within the mall are Goku Sen Japanese Cafe & Bar, myNEWS.com, My Nail Parlour, Frank Laurent Coffee Roasters, Nagomi and Happy Life.
