KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP) has announced that the first stage of its XME Business Park 2 at its Nilai Impian township in Negeri Sembilan has been fully taken up during a preview held on Aug 29, according to a press statement on Friday.

XME Business Park 2 has a gross development value (GDV) of RM172.57 million, and will be developed in three stages.

The first stage, with a GDV of RM66 million, comprises 15 factories (14 semi-detached units and one detached unit), with built-up sizes that range between 8,397 sq ft and 18,405 sq ft, and priced from RM4.5 million to RM9.3 million.

“The 100% take-up rate achieved for [the first stage of the] XME Business Park 2 at its preview reflects the demand for premium industrial hubs that offer accessibility and future-ready facilities. We saw overwhelming interest from a diverse array of industries, including engineering, warehouse operations, automotive, pharmaceutical and food and beverage, which demonstrates the wide-ranging value and utility of our development,” said Sime Darby Property chief operating officer of township development Appollo Leong.

The business park will have sustainable building features, such as a rainwater harvesting system, ready infrastructure for solar power installations, and electric vehicle charging points. It will be designed with multiple loading bays, a high floor-loading capacity of 10 kN/m2 (kilonewton per square metre), triple volume warehouse space with a minimum height clearance of nine metres, and a wide main loading area which is able to accommodate 40-foot trucks.

The XME Business Park has direct access to Lebuhraya Utara Selatan (PLUS), North–South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), and KajangSeremban Highway (LEKAS).
