KUALA LUMPUR (June 14): Malaysia Property Exposition (MAPEX) 2024 will specifically feature a ‘Green Section’, which is in line with the government’s aspiration towards sustainability in the Malaysian property sector.

Organiser REHDA Malaysia hopes that this special section will help create public awareness towards green and eco-friendly property developments.

MAPEX 2024 will be held at Halls 2 & 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC), Mid Valley Megamall, and will run from 21 to 23 June.

“REHDA is also most honoured to announce the Guest-of-Honour, Tuan Nik Nazmi  Nik Ahmad, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability who has graciously consented to officiate the MAPEX 2024 Opening Ceremony to be held on 21 June 2024 (Friday) at 3pm. This continuous engagement with this ministry shows a strong and collaborative working relationship between the government and REHDA in promoting green and sustainable practices towards reducing the environmental impact and ensuring the sustainable growth of the real estate and construction industry in the country,” said MAPEX committee chairman Datuk Chan Kin Meng.

“With the strong support and various impetuses provided by the government in promoting ESG, we have a wide selection of green and sustainable residential and commercial properties catering to all income groups being showcased at this three3-day MAPEX. I sincerely hope that potential house buyers and investors will take time out to visit this forthcoming MAPEX to research and gather relevant information towards making the right decision in purchasing your ideal home,” added Chan.

“With the Malaysian property sector being a significant contributor to the nation’s socio-economic growth and the wellbeing of communities, this annual property fair is a major nationwide event to reflect REHDA’s initiative, commitment and continuing efforts to further promote homeownership especially affordable housing and ensuring better quality of life for the rakyat,” stated the MAPEX committee.

Amongst the main property players exhibiting include IJM Land Bhd, KLK Land, LBS Bina Group, Mah Sing Group Bhd, Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd, OSK Property, Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), PR1MA, Platinum Victory, Sime Darby Property Bhd, SkyWorld Development Bhd, to name a few,” said Chan Kin.

“This property fair will also be showcasing the valued involvement from various government agencies including Jabatan Perumahan Negara (JPN) and Tribunal Perumahan dan Pengurusan Strata (TPPS) under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), Jabatan Wilayah Persekutuan, Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP), Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA), Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor (LPHS), and Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK),” he added.
