Avaland’s Casa Embun Phase 1 in Cybersouth 70% taken up

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): Avaland Bhd's Casa Embun apartment development in its 417-acre (168.75-hectare) Cybersouth township in Dengkil saw its first phase 70% taken up since the launch in January, according to a press statement on Friday.

Avaland was formerly known as MCT Bhd.

With a gross development value of RM186 million, the first phase of the21-storey Casa Embun comprises 482 apartment units, with built-ups ranging from 550 to 1,541 sq ft and selling prices starting from RM250,000.

In the same statement on Friday, Avaland also highlighted its partnership with the National Kidney Foundation Malaysia (NKF) to provide free health screenings for residents in its Cybersouth township on Oct 21, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The statement said the free health screening aims to help raise awareness of non-communicable and kidney diseases, as one in seven Malaysians suffer from chronic kidney disease, according to the Ministry of Health.

Avaland chief executive officer Teh Heng Chong said, “This health screening for the benefit of the Cybersouth community is in line with our mission of creating communities and enhancing lives. This is one way for us to give back to the community, as we prioritise the health and well-being of our residents. We are proud to collaborate with an esteemed non-governmental organisation like NKF towards improving the quality of life for the Cybersouth community.

“We continue to activate placemaking and wellness activities, as we feel that a healthy community is important, especially coming off from the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now replanning the entire town centre of Cybersouth in view of the changes in lifestyle and community needs, as we cater to the post-pandemic effects. It is important to create an integrated environment that is safe, functional and practical for our community,” Teh added.

Speaking on behalf of NKF, its CEO Khor Xin Yun said, “We are pleased that Avaland is supporting our NKF health screening initiative. Our objective is to educate the public on the importance of early prevention and awareness of kidney diseases. We call on more property developers and corporate sector players to also collaborate with us to improve the health of Malaysians.”
