KUALA LUMPUR (July 10): UEM Sunrise Bhd chairman Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa has retired effective yesterday.

He retired from office in accordance with the group's constitution at the conclusion of the group's annual general meeting yesterday, UEM Sunrise said in a filing.

Zamzamzairani, 60, was appointed to the group's board as an independent and non-executive director in May 2017.

In a separate filing, UEM Sunrise said Lim Tian Huat, 65, also retired as an independent and non-executive director with effect from yesterday.

UEM Sunrise's share price closed down 0.5 sen or 1.14% to 43.5 sen, bringing the group a market capitalisation of RM1.97 billion as of yesterday. The counter saw 5.29 million shares transacted.
